Semiconductor
Cybersecurity

Hi,

My name is Jim Montgomery, I am the author of this blog site.  I am a 30-year veteran of IT security working in all aspects of solution design, deployment and implementation. During this time, I have worked with several fortune 100 companies to implement complex security strategies with a focus on maintaining operational efficiency and implimenting secure processing standards. My focus for the last four years has been on OT/ICS architecture design and implementation, emphasizing targeted approaches to solve specific functional goals while keeping the environment operational.

Semiconductor is a segment that is critically behind the curve when it comes to implimentation of cybersecurity standards and solutions. No other industry holds as much importance in our global economy or in our national security. In Chris Millers book "Chip War" he susinctly points out that "Semiconductors, or microchips, have become the modern world's equivalent of oil, serving as a vital and limited resource." I couldn't agree more.

I have created this site for education and as a resource for implimentation strategies. I would love to hear your thoughts on how we can make it better. and by "we" I mean all of us, it will take significant effort and an investment of time and resources to secure our industry.

Let's get started!
